Theodore Knuckle Zine Issue 1

Description

This is my first comic zine, about a lonely midnight DJ called Theodore Knuckle. Every night he sits in his tiny studio, playing music and ministering to his listeners: a motley bunch of insane outcasts. In this issue we meet Theodore, the disdainful artist Danger Duck, and the mysterious straitjacketed Mr. Curtain, one of Theodore's regular listeners.

The zine has been illustrated by me, using mainly brush and ink, with some collage and a tiny bit of help from photoshop. Look out for further issues. Each purchase will include a secret freebie.

12 black and white pages, with a card colour cover. Size A6. Sent in a protective sleeve. Thanks for looking!

Inspiration

I love zines, and a few years ago I illustrated a digital comic called Charlie and Me (before Marley and Me hit the screens, hehe.) It was based on my real goldfish, Charlie, an amazing pet I have had for 20 years. This comic zine is an evolved version of that, concerning a lonely fish-headed DJ who lives for his art despite the fact that he's largely ignored for it (Anyone who's ever huddled at a freezing cold craft fair and not made any money will identify here). I'm so glad to have worked on a project that's purely for pleasure, and to work with brush and ink again. I hope you enjoy it too!
