Description
Treat yourself or a friend to a totally unique, hand made item. This phone cover will fit an iphone, or any phone up to 11.5 cm tall (7cm wide).
It has been hand woven on my 8 shaft Ashford loom, using a charcoal grey cotton for the warp and a range of rich tweedy colours for the weft.
The pattern is of hearts and arrows, woven into the material in Rowan tweed in a burnt orange colour, along with a single row of hearts in a leaf green tweed. Once woven the fabric was cut off the loom and carefully washed in warm water and ecover delicate detergent. It should be hand washed in cool water when necessary.
The hand woven fabric is oversewn to help protect the edges from fraying and is gently supported with light interfacing. It is lined with black cotton. The whole feels lovely, soft and luxurious!
This is a one-off item - and will not be repeated exactly the same.
Inspiration
Being inspired by the Mastercrafts series by Monty Don, I decided to go on a weaving course in 2010. I loved it so much I saved up and bought my own 8 shaft Ashford table loom, and this is the result! I have used 8 shaft and 4 shaft weave structures and luxury yarns to create this unique phone holder - stand out from the crowd!
