100 x 110 x 60mm approx. wooden trinket box, backed in icy blue, metallic-flecked handmade paper, and decorated with a plethora of pretty buttons, beads, gems, charms and found objects -including a a shattered piece of pottery I found where a row of terraced houses had been destroyed, a quirky brooch and a lost jigsaw piece.

I love to play with textures. The woodgrain of the box shows through the tissue-thin paper, silver ink adds frosting to a cut corrugated cardboard shape that adds interest to the lid. Graph paper isn't just for school -it's the perfect blue to complement. Colouring book sugar paper is for big kids too -I cut out snowflakes to match the wintery theme, and the six-pointed shapes perfectly reflect box's hexagonal form.

The main colours are pale, turquoisy blues, metallics, accents of black and the soft brown of corrugated cardboard.

This box is perfect to keep on a bedside table to hold safe rings or other regularly worn jewellery, or the deepest darkest secrets of ice maidens and snow queens.

As all my pieces are one-offs, and therefore unreplaceable, all purchases will be mailed first class recorded delivery, requiring a signature to ensure safe arrival.
