It is inspired by the Greylag goose waddling about in the muddy shores of ponds and rivers.
I draw from field guide books. And try to get the essence of the bird into a graphic image.
The final result is a fun and quirky piece that will hopefully make you smile when you wear it.

Full description
This stunning handmade necklace is made from silver wire which is French crocheted to form the chain. The ends are silver tubing riveted to the crochet with handmade chain connecting the tubing to the wooden twig T-clasp.
The bird is made from acrylic, the pieces are hand jig-sawed before being collaged together. The bird has a silver tube in it's back which is riveted to the chain.
All the silver is oxidised to a grey black which contrasts well with the bright acrylic colours. The necklace is hallmarked.
It comes in a grey/black jewellery box made from recycled cardboard. And a handmade tag with information about the bird.
