Meet the maker Benjamin Knibbs

The books I bind are made from recycled, salvaged, reused, found objects whilst beach combing, walking on Dartmoor or in the local woods. I like the challenge of creating a book out of materials I have at hand, so each book I create is unique- I try not to buy in materials except glue and thread. I make my own paper, although I do have a large stock of handmade papers bought a few years ago.

No machinery is used; each book is hand crafted, all the signatures are hand stitched and the paper, card and material is cut by hand.
