Meet the maker Alistair Fitchett
Alistair is a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, although for the past sixteen years he has been living in sleepy Devon where he pays the bills by teaching in a high school.
Alistair hates being bored and likes to play at lots of different things. He ran the Tangents web-zine for eleven years, wrote reviews and edited the comics section for Plan B magazine, ran a independent record label and had a book of music writing called Young And Foolish published in 1998. He still writes and blogs on his Unpopular site, runs a monthly Pop Club and DJs for the Phonic FM radio station.
The 'Made Whilst Listening To' series of drawings started in the Autumn of 2007, initially as a daily drawing exercise. The drawings have recently developed into larger format. He hopes to develop some of the drawings into prints.
