Meet the maker Sue Thompson

Hello there. My name is Sue, but you can call me Tilly x

I enjoy lots of different hobbies and over many years I have tried many different crafts and so it is that I use all of that experience when I create something new.

I draw inspiration from my garden, the seaside the wider world really. I offer bright, joyful, playful handmade and upcycled which focuses on positivity, quality and affordability.

I enjoy the upcycling of items most. The world is full of things just waiting for their chance of a new start. I rescue things, give them a bit of love and a new life then send them on their way.

I am instinctive in the way that I work and my ideas are usually fully formed before I start to make. That being said I can be flexible and change direction if something doesn't feel right. It has to spark joy for me and if that means a bit more time, a bit of a battle and a change of direction, then so be it.

Everything I make is unique unto itself. All one offs if you like. The joy for me is in the making and I hope that this comes across in my work.
