Meet the maker Susan Howarth

I've always had a passion for making things since my gran would sit me in a horsehair chair at weekends and teach me to knit! My mum was also a keen seamstress when we were young as money was always in short supply. She would make the net underskirts in the 60's rock n roll outfits - and sold loads!

I get my inspiration from my love of fabrics, the colours and the textures. My eye always wanders to colourful items when browsing around markets and shops. I am now enjoying a time in my life when I can sit at my table and make something without interruption from children! I love to see things that I like and work out how I can make it myself, adding my personal touch to it . This has now become a passion of mine.

Recently I have been making crafty things for my place of work but I have been asked so many times to make something for a colleague that I have decided to go into mini production! I am currently making bags, banners, Christmas sacks, purses etc etc to order and have started selling on Folksy, eBay and Facebook. No two items are identical so you have to be quick if you see something you like! I also enjoy knitting bed/sofa throws which keeps me busy in the evenings when relaxing and watching TV at the same time! My husband says I am a multi-tasker!

PLEASE NOTE - When you buy two or more items at the same time I will refund additional postage charges via Paypal.
