POSTAGE AND PACKAGING

UK:
Orders with a value of up to £50 will be sent First class.
Orders over £50 will be sent First Class Signed For which requires a signature on delivery (at no extra cost to the buyer).

REST OF THE WORLD:
Orders with a value of up to £50 (approx. $75 USD) will be sent Airmail. This does NOT include tracking. If you require tracking, insurance or a faster service please contact me BEFORE buying as it will incur an additional charge.
Orders over £50 will be mailed Airsure (tracked) or International Signed For whenever possible (at no extra cost to the buyer).

Your socks will be sent in a bubble wrap envelope. Washing instructions will be included, along with an invoice and a small amount of yarn for repairs.

Everyone please note that in the event of bad weather, increased security, customs checks and busy times like the run up to Christmas, mail can occasionally take up to 6 weeks to be delivered. If you haven't received your order after 25 working days please contact me so that I can start the claims process and offer you either a refund or a replacement.

REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES

I hope you will be happy with your socks. In the unlikely event that you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, please contact me within 7 days of receipt. I will either exchange or refund the item (buyer is responsible for return shipping costs).

Please contact me if you think your order is lost in the post so that we can talk about a refund or replacement.

CUSTOM ORDERS AND SIZE INFORMATION

I will try to take custom orders, time and yarn permitting.

I knit adult (women & men) socks from UK size 3 ( approx US W size 5) upwards and baby/toddler socks in the following sizes and sock (foot) length -

0-3 months - 10 cm
6-9 months - 11 cm
12-18 months - 12 cm
18-24 months - 14 cm

Please measure your baby's feet if possible before buying as the age range is approximate.

I don't knit any other sizes of childrens socks at the moment (but older children will fit women's sizes). Sorry, but I also don't knit knee high socks and I don't offer my socks for wholesale.

If you would like me to knit you some socks please contact me with a link to an example of your choice of yarn (from my sold or for sale listings). I will advise you if it is still available and give you an estimate of how long it will take to fulfil your order and the cost. I don't charge anything extra for custom orders. Once your order has been knitted I will contact you and list the socks for purchase.

I use 4 ply sock yarn made from a mixture of wool (for warmth and durability) and polyamide (for stretch). 4 ply yarn isn't particularly thick so my socks can be worn comfortably in shoes and trainers. My patterns are my own that I have developed to give the neatest shaping and best fit. It takes me about 15 hours to knit a pair of medium womens socks and about 20 hours for mens. Mens socks are 4 stitches (about half an inch) wider than womens socks.

All measurements are as accurate as possible and made against a flat sock. Obviously the socks will stretch when on your feet so should measure a little less than your foot length. I like socks to fit quite snugly and as a UK size 5 I would wear a UK size 4-6 for the best fit. Please note the main sizes given are for UK shoe sizes, with an approximate US size - please check a conversion table if you are outside the UK.
