Meet the maker Sarah Maguire

Hello,

I’m Sarah Elizabeth Maguire and here is a bit about me:

For the last two years I have been working Bridal designer also with experience in eveningwear, lingerie and loungewear. I am constantly searching for something new and exciting to drive on my desire to create and give me the chance to develop my inspiration and I have completely fallen head over heels for all aspects of my designs, ideas and products and want to share them with you.
This gift range started off as a small idea for handmade gifts for friends and family but as my friends and family requested more and more of my gifts for their friends and family my product base grew along with my love and enjoyment of making each special item.

Through all of my experiences including the exploration of both bespoke and couture design, pattern cutting and grading for individual clients, and of course all other aspects of the industry environment. I have developed so many skills that assist in making each item unique and beautiful in its own right.

Within my career both previously and present I am always looking to challenge and push myself as much as possible. In the past have been fortunate enough to design costumes for Girls Aloud among others and of course designed couture bridal gowns, all created specifically for the individual and truly unlike any other.

I also previously completed an internship at the beautiful design house Temperley London in London’s Nottinghill as well as acting as a fashion consultant to a UK based Microsoft X-box character design and development team, assisting them in the clothing and wardrobe of their Live Avatar System.

I will leave you alone now to browse through Folksy with the final thought that through all my hopes and aspirations for past and present projects I like to believe that everything has the potential of a hidden story waiting to be both told and explored through design. My aim is to find and communicate this through each product whether buying or selling and hope that you love just them as much as me.
