Meet the maker Diane Mothergoose

I am Diane and have been designing and making quilts and decorative wall hangings for over 20 years. Having always loved stichcraft I wanted to add something extra by making pictoral quilts which have over the years depicted anything from underwater scenes and magical woodlands to abstract designs with a fantasia of colour.

I design each of them individually and all Mother Goose quilts are hand made, taking up to 9 months for king-size bed throws. I take inspiration from friends, family and things I see around me or can create to a theme for an extra special someone, thereby bringing unique, one-off gifts which may go on to be a family heirloom.
The baby quilts take me 300 plus hours to hand quilt. I enjoy hand quilting so much love the effect the stitches have on the fabric.
