Meet the maker Moira Carter

I've worked as an Artist since 1982. I started as an illustrator moving into Botanical illustration, then graphics and then back to my first love of printmaking.

I became a freelance Artist in 1989 focusing on Print., but also working as a Community Artist tutoring :Art & Craft workshops and Life classes.

As a printmaker my main subject matter is figurative, being based on direct observations of flowers, animals and the human form.

As a painter my subject matter can take on a more frivolous nature. Anything is fair game including Mermaids and jolly Rogers!
