Meet the maker Elizabeth Akel

My name is Elizabeth Akel.
I live in the remote village of Dalwhinnie in the Scottish Highlands with my son, Jamie a tour guide at the local distillery, and Graphic Design husband, Jules, who also does his design work from home.
I began knitting a couple of years ago when my son requested a knitted ipod-sock. I haven't been able to stop since!
I have knitted numerous gifts for friends and family and after their nudging me to try to sell to other people too, I took the plunge.
I hope visitors to Folksy want to buy my wee gifts, but just browsing through the Folksy website is fun and inspiring.
I am now selling my crafts at Toll House Catering - the new cafe in Dalwhinnie.
