Meet the maker Mhairi McCrae

Hello! Thank you for visiting my shop!

I am a designer - maker based in Glasgow who has been in love with crafting ever since my mother took me to a local knitting group when I was in Primary School!
I make a range of items: necklaces, brooches, cuffs, cushions, baby blankets, baby mobiles, and all are hand-made and individual.
I focus on using either up-cycled clothing items, such as second hand sari's, silk ties and fabric remnants, and buttons, cord, silk threads, wool and paper.
I am also a qualified architect: my design interests are wide ranging and my background in architecture informs my designs with an emphasis on clean modern shapes, textures and lines.
I love knitting, crochet, sewing and embroidery and am never happier than when sat at my gorgeous dining table with my sewing machine or a needle in hand creating my latest project!
