Meet the maker

Hiya and welcome.

I'm lilyvanilli (but please, just call me Lily). I live in Cumbria and joy of joys I look out of the window of my crafting studio over the fields and hills. That helps keep me inspired.

At the moment I have a big bag of wool tops that keeps calling me in to do feltmaking but my hoarding nature means there are always more bits and bobs I add to my creations. Everything I make is unique (apart from the shoes, I make two of each of those).

I studied designed craft at Art College and I had no fun at all, it made me give up making and creating for a long time. When I started working with children, I saw how fragile creativity was. This made me want to nurture and support it in others which in turn made my own creativity come back.
Now I play with all the creative possibilites that come my way. I love sharing with others and exploring new ideas..
