Meet the maker Vanessa Mooncie

Vanessa Mooncie is a contemporary crochet and knitwear designer and maker. Her company, Kissy Suzuki (www.kissysuzuki.com), specialises in producing jewellery and accessories using new and vintage yarns, threads and semi precious stones. Her designs and creativity are inspired by the rich tradition of knit and crochet through the history of fashion, sourcing and researching traditional handcraft techniques.
Vanessa's biography includes a study of fashion and textile design, and work in children's clothing and illustration, and commercial interior design. She currently works in the rural village of Firle, on the South Downs, an area which inspires her business and creativity.
