Welcome to my Folksy shop!

When my husband and I started our family, I decided to move away from my 20+ year career in IT and retrain as a jewellery designer and silversmith. This allowed me to fit a career around my family and gave me an opportunity to 'start' again by learning completely new skills. I now spend every day in my little garden workshop designing and creating new pieces of jewellery.

Most of my time is spent making bespoke pieces but I have created these designs for sale in my Folksy shop and website.

I love incorporating semi precious stones, resin or beads into a design. Colour and silver work so well together. My favourite stones are labradorite, opal and moonstone.

Unlike a lot of jewellery available on the high street, when buying a Julie McKenzie Jewellery Design product, you can be confident that each piece has been individually and carefully handcrafted, just for you! Using quality materials and ensuring each piece is finished to a high standard, you can be confident you are buying a wearable piece of luxury.

Once made, all my silver jewellery, weighing over 7g, is verified and hallmarked by Goldsmiths Assay Office in London.
