Meet the maker Rebecca Higgins

I have been crafting all my life, but discovered polymer clay about two years ago. I made some magnets for my friend for Christmas, which went down a storm. I quickly became addicted to this amazing material. It is so easy to use, and can be modelled just like plasticine. It is then simply baked in a home oven!

The possibilities with polymer clay are endless - it can be moulded, marbled, blended, painted or carved after baking. It can imitate the techniques of other materials, such as the millefiori caning technique used in glassmaking. It can even imitate textures and surfaces such as woodgrain or precious stones and minerals.

My favourite thing to do with polymer clay is sculpt and model cute and quirky little creations - I like to see my creations come to life exactly as I imagined them!
