Meet the maker Shelagh Pickford

I trained originally as a Graphic Designer (in the pre-computer age) which I loved as it was all gouache, Magic Markers, Indian ink, icky sticky Cow Gum, darkrooms and lots more. My first 'make' (aged 4) was a pair of cardboard and string flip-flops which disintegrated in the rain but, undeterred, have been making, designing or painting ever since!

I have a bit of a passion for old sewing machines and have a growing collection ranging in date from 1860-1937 and if they work I use them! Then there's my collection of tins - now mostly in the loft, but I can't resist a vintage tin!
