Meet the maker Natasha Johnson

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to view my shop, now here's a little bit more about me...

Beading and all things jewellery are literally in my blood. My passion started as a very young girl when my gran used to let me play and dress up with her costume jewellery, every colour, texture and style you can imagine, I thought I looked the bees-knees (though probably resembled a mini Mr T)! My own mother was also a jewellery maker who I would watch in awe at the complex designs she put together and annoy the hell out of playing with her tools trying haphazardly to concoct my own creations whilst knocking over pots of seed beads (as my daughter does to me now!).

I myself have been making jewellery for a couple of years, I have an inbuilt need to be crafty and after many years of trying my hand at various subjectsfinally found where my true love lies. I get a real sense of well being the way that making beautiful, simple pieces of jewellery can bring me so much joy and I hope my lovingly made pieces can bring you the same.

My pieces do vary in style, although I like to keep things simple and fuss free, understated beauties if you like. I love rustic and bohemian looking pieces and enjoy using handmade findings (ear-wires etc), either my own creations or those I have found made by one of the many fantastic jewellery artists all over the world. Along with gathering my supplies from the wonderful array of beading/jewellery suppliers that are around, I love to 'up-cycle'. Browsing in my local thrift/charity shops seeing what I can find and breathing life back into those unwanted purchases found in the depths of someone's jewellery box. Its a great way to make completely unique pieces.

I hope you enjoy looking at my shop, I try to give as much detail as possible about all my items, however if I've missed something or you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
