Meet the maker David Green
I make my pottery in my studio/workshop at home in Lancashire. I use a variety of Stoneware clays and Porcelain.
Occasionally I make some earthenware.
All my stoneware and porcelain is fired in my propane powered kiln in a reduction atmosphere. I think this gives the glaze more character and it radically alters the colours.
Firing the kiln from start to finish can last up to 24hours, and I have to continually adjust the flame and the kiln to get the desired effects from the glazes.
I am open to making commisioned pieces, if you have any ideas let me know.
