Meet the maker Claire Duffy

I have tried to live without a sewing machine. A few years ago, I spent a year travelling in Australia with just a backpack but after 3 months I gave in and bought a second-hand Singer sewing machine.

It was really heavy and quite tricky to lug around so when i bought a van (that really needed some new curtains) the Singer came too and was plugged in wherever it could. Finally when my travels were over i passed it on to my Auntie Anne.

I now have a lovely Bernina that hasn't seen quite as much of the world but has sewn up plenty of lovely things. So please...support my cause and put my sewing machine to use!
