Meet the maker Louise Lock
Hi, I'm lou and I have created 'bluebird by lou' because I love making things and - to be quite frank - if I kept everything i made there wouldn't be room to move in my house for sock bunnies, cushions, crocheted flowers and the like. All that combined with a husband's Lego Star Wars collection and we'd have nowhere even to put down a cup of tea!
So, I decided it was time to share my creations with others. Sometimes it's hard to see a cute little sock kitty go but we have two real ones at home and they're trouble enough thank you very much! :)
Anyway, please check out my shop to see what's up for grabs. I'm addicted to upcycling at the moment and I like to hunt out exciting fabrics in charity shops and turn hideous frumpy clothes from the 80s into lovely little bird brooches or toddler clothes.
By the way I'm also very happy to commission items. Send me a sock and I'll turn it into a bunny or a kitty or a lion or a pig or anything you like (I'll give it a go anyway!). Just email me if you'd like to know more about how this works.

I accept paypal as this is fast becoming the easiest and safest way to buy and sell online. Please make your payment within 48 hours of purchase. If there is a reason why you cannot do this, please contact me and we can hopefully resolve the problem together. I reserve the right to relist any unpaid orders 5 days after the purchase date.
-Postage -
I post all items as soon as I can. This is usually next working day but due to the fact that I have a 17 month old daughter it can sometimes take a little longer! However I will ALWAYS post within 3 working days. I post using Royal Mail standard First Class and always obtain a proof of postage. If you would prefer a different type of postage so you can track and trace or guarantee next day, for example, please contact me and I am happy to oblige and will let you know how much extra this will cost. I post to anywhere in the world but please be aware that international customers are responsible for all customs, duties and taxes associated with shipping to their respective countries.

I hope you will be happy with your purchase but if for some reason you are not, please contact me and I do do my best to resolve the problem. If a return is necessary the item must be in the same condition as when received by you.
