Meet the maker Alice Harwood

I use natural forms and landscape as a starting point for my prints. I am interested in pattern and texture and my work I moves between depiction and abstraction of form.

My degree was in Illustration, during which time I first starting using print as a medium. I graduated in 2000, and since then have qualified as a chartered landscape architect, leaving less time to develop my art practice.

Over the last three years, I have started building up this practice again.

I have focused on printmaking, and enjoy combining and experimenting with processes such as drypoint, collagraph, and monoprint as I seek to develop my own expression.
