Meet the maker Kirsty Clarke

Hi, my name is Kirsty and I live in Otley, a small market town in Wharfedale, West Yorkshire. I have Fibromyalgia and left my office job a couple of years ago to pursue a more therapeutic career. I produce hand painted yarns at home and also knitted items and stitch markers. I have been knitting for over 30 years, dyeing yarns for nearly 5 years and started spinning with spindles last year and with a wheel this year. I only sell yarns of a high quality that I have tested myself in my own projects.

I have two kids (three if you count my husband!) two lovely, fat rescue cats, two champagne rats and various tropical and pond fish.

My blog can be found at www.yorkshireroseyarns.blogspot.com and I am on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/WharfedaleWoolworks

*Smallprint* - The yarns I produce are painted in small batches with fibre reactive dyes and there may therefore be some variation between skeins. Please order enough to complete your project. Although I rinse all yarns until the water is clear it is advisable to wash separately for the first few washes. All weights and meterages are approximate and as stated by my suppliers.
Items will usually be posted out first class the next working day after payment clears.
Patterns are posted in stiff board 'do not bend' envelopes and stitch markers will be sent in organza gift bags in padded envelopes.
If you are ordering items over the value of £40 I would recommend recorded delivery for which an extra charge will be made - please let me know at the time of ordering if you would like this.
If for any reason you are not happy with any purchase please notify me as soon as possible. I will happily exchange or refund so long as the item is returned in the condition in which it was sent out.

Thanks for looking!
