Meet the maker

Hello and thank you for stopping by at Vintage Peacock Designs. We hope we've achieved the start of a collection of off beat, characterful greeting cards with a unique and recognisable style.

My name is Ali O'Neill and this all started when I had to stop my exploits writing bits of comedy for the BBC and had to get a 'proper job', like what grown up's do....

Needless to say it was really very soul destroying and I started to produce some one off watercolour pieces which got some very positive attention. Then I began to think I wanted to make greetings cards that I would want to buy. And that was the start of this journey.

I'm very much inspired by a range of children's book illustrators and stop motion animation. I'm a trained archaeological illustrator too, so I like to throw a bit of that discipline into the mix for all Vintage Peacock Designs.

I hope you can see that I put a lot of love and passion into my cards.
