Meet the maker The Clockwork Jewel
Meet the maker The Clockwork Jewel
I am a qualified Fine Artist who has found the passion of her life in making elegant and unusual pieces of jewellery using all manner of old and new materials, especially the cogs and innards of vintage watches. I love all things Steampunk and literary based.
I do commissions, and they have included unique personalised lockets with photographs and locks of hair set in resin, charm bracelets on any subject chosen, personlised heart-shaped boxes for a child's first tooth, trinket boxes on any theme (I recently made one for a customer who wanted guinea pigs in top hats, and that is just what she received), and I will happily work with any other theme one might come up with. Ask away, email enquiries;

Examples of said commissions and the rest of my jewellery can be found here, on The Clockwork Jewel Facebook page -

Royal Mail postage costs have risen enormously, so I've had to put my prices up as well unfortunately. Most items will be sent in a padded envelope, some require a box. The standard price for boxed Royal Mail Second Class Signed For is £3.90. Envelopes range from £2.50 to £2.99. All items come gift wrapped and postage includes packaging.
Overseas orders cost significantly more as they are sent by Airmail, and will take from two to six weeks to arrive. Please bear this in mind when ordering.
Pieces inclusive of Polymer clay should not be cleaned with chemicals, nor have perfumes sprayed upon them. Clean only with a damp cloth and then buff afterwards with soft cotton. Keep resin pieces dry and also buff with a damp cloth. Keep resin pieces out of extreme heat. Silver plated pieces should be kept in velvet, or within a jewellery box or they will tarnish. Clean them with a few drops of washing up liquid in a small bowl and a soft toothbrush and then dry and buff with a soft cotton cloth.
Materials used in some of the Steampunk pieces are by their very nature made of rough materials like cogs and watch parts and although much care is given to ensure all pieces are safe, please examine photos and description carefully and be absolutely sure the item meets your approval before purchasing .
