Meet the maker Judith Hope

Hello and welcome to The Bird & the Button!
My name is Judith Hope, I'm a puppet maker, textile and paper artist and maker of many things.

I create unique hand made items from vintage, recycled and reclaimed materials, or anything quirky I find on my endless travels to flea markets and thrift shops.

My work is an eclectic mix of ideas and materials and is carefully made in a quiet, leafy yard, tucked away from the bustle of London Town.

I love vintage fabrics, time aged paper and any curious objects with "a tale to tell". Somehow they all seem to find their way to my small and cosy studio, where in turn they are reinvented and given a new life, and often a new home.
