Meet the maker Suzie Giangolini

Thanks so much for visiting Suzie & Me - we're thrilled you've paid a visit to our shop!

Suzie & Me are Kate Coleman and Suzie Giangolini. We live upstairs/downstairs from each other in Crouch End, North London. Suzie trained in Textiles & Fashion but then moved into the worlds of retail and property. Kate trained at Portsmouth College of Art and The London College of Fashion and is the Co-Founder of the children's mentoring charity Scene & Heard.

Three years ago when Kate moved into the flat above Suzie she brought with her a LOT of fabric and boxes full of sewing 'stuff' and Suzie found herself picking up her needle once again. And she hasn't put it down since! We spend a lot of time running up and down the stairs to compare notes, discuss ideas and ooh & aah at beautiful fabrics.

Suzie loves the small creatures who populate her back garden and her ace pattern-cutting skills are put to excellent use making them into delightful toys. Kate loves colour and is somewhat addicted to modern Japanese design and is a firm believer that you can never have too many cushions!

We use good quality cotton fabrics, both modern and vintage and like nothing better than prettying up things with embroidery, charms, rosettes and other lovelies.

We know when you buy something you're keen to get it so we send everything out first class post. Our toys and small items come wrapped in tissue paper and look present ready, so if you've purchased as a gift you're all set!

All of Suzie's toys can be personalised with a name or short message. We also can make anything to order. We'll sometimes show examples of personalised items for sale - when purchasing just message us with your own details. These items are made from scratch so take a little longer. We will always contact you directly to give a delivery time.
