Meet the maker Kathelle MacLeod

Hallo!

I'm an island girl at heart, brought up in the beautiful Outer Hebrides. I've always loved being creative - my first ambition as a child was to be an artist! :) My mum taught me to knit and sew as a young girl and I am truly grateful for this; It's such a shame that these important skills are not as well known as they once were. I left home to study Architecture in Aberdeen where I met my husband and we now have two adorable little children, I hope you like what you find! My inspiration mainly comes from my beautiful homeland in the Outer Hebrides; the scenery and colours are truly incredible.
Both my grandfathers were weavers of the legendary Harris Tweed, renowned around the world for its unique qualities. There was often the rhythmic "Clickety-clack Clickety-clack" of the loom working in the background whilst playing as a child, so you could say it's in my blood! I also love playing with colour and have a great love of patchwork and quilting and seeing how each stage further enhances the one before.
I generally tend to make "one off" items, so if you love it, please snap it up!

Payment:
All payment is done through Paypal as it is the most secure system for us both. It would be greatly appreciated if you could pay promptly, the sooner we receive payment the sooner your purchase will be on its way to you.
If you do not have a Paypal account you can still pay through it with a credit/debit card in the usual manner without having to sign up.

Postage and Packaging:
Postage is through Royal Mail, and items will be carefully packed in appropriate bag/box. Items will be posted as soon as possible after payment is received, up to a maximum of three days.

Returns Policy:
I sincerely hope you love what you buy from Strandom but if for any reason you choose to return an item for a full refund, you have seven days after receipt of the item(s) to do so. The item must be returned in a clean, unused and undamaged condition and in its original packaging. Unfortunately I am unable to refund your return postage costs. This does not apply to custom orders, which are not returnable due to their nature.
