Welcome to Sparrow Primitives. We specialise in shelf blocks, wooden signs, bunting and Primitive style products. Our distinctive signature and sought after decorative wooden shelf blocks are all carefully and expertly handmade. They are cut and sanded in Sparrow Primitives' studio from locally sourced FSC approved solid wood, then handpainted and distressed.

Shelf blocks are a wonderful way of adding a touch of country living style, seasonal variations to your home decor or for celebrating special occasions. They are extremely versatile and can be placed anywhere in the home.

Primitive stitched items came about as American pioneer women used old scraps from clothing, quilts or even feedsacks to make something simple for their children to play with. Items would be made to adorn the home and would often represent everyday life. Nothing was wasted - hence the concept of the 'make-do's' where scraps of fabric would be used to make a decorative item using whatever came to hand. Primitive decor evolved as people realised that the simplicity of handcrafted items could have a place in any home.

Our products have been seen in numerous national publications including Country Living, Bella,Daily Express, Sunday Express and Sunday Mirror and we have also been given a Small Business Sunday award by BBC Dragon Theo Paphitis.

PAYMENT

We accept Paypal as the preferred payment method although we will also accept payment by Bank Transfer. Please contact us if you wish to use BACS.

POSTAGE AND PACKING

We take pride in our secure packaging and our products are shipped throughout the UK by Royal Mail . We understand that not everyone can be at home to receive our parcels, so we are happy to ship to an alternate address, should you prefer.
Large orders will be shipped by a trackable courier service.

RETURNS

Great care is taken to ensure customer satisfaction & Sparrow Primitives comply with the Distance Selling Regulations 2000. In the unlikely event that you receive faulty or erroneous goods please contact us to discuss the matter immediately. Refunds and replacements will not be issued for items sent back without first informing us of your intention to do so (in writing), and the reason for the return. You must inform us, in writing, and return the product within 28 days of receiving the item. The cost of returning the item will be at your expense and you must obtain proof of postage. Where an item is agreed to be faulty or sent in error, the cost of this returns postage will be refunded in addition to the sale price of the item. Alternatively, a replacement item may be provided. Items must be in their original condition (including original packaging and delivery note). This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights. Bespoke and customised goods are exceptions to these rights of cancellation and may not be returned or refunded.
