Meet the maker Jayne Proctor

Following years of working in offices, after being made redundant I made the decision to turn a life-long passion/hobby into a business. I started off by running a pottery club at my daughter’s primary school, and in December 2011 I took the plunge, after weeks of searching I found vacant premises most recently used as a paint retailer, and Sheepshead Pottery was born.
In February 2013 we moved into new, larger premises in a prime location and expanded our range of services into Paint a Pot whilst maintaining the workshop and studio side of the business.

The business is split into two parts. We offer pottery workshops where you can learn to make your own items using various techniques, many of which have remained unchanged for thousands of years. We also make and sell a range of ceramic giftware ranging from small ornaments at pocket money prices to bespoke items made to your specifications. To find out more visit our website www.sheepsheadpottery.co.uk or call in to the studio and shop at 2a Bridge Street, Shepshed, Leicestershire LE12 9AD (10 minutes from M1 J23)
