Meet the maker Abi at SewYou

Howdy!

Thanks for looking at my profile. I'm Abi of SewYou Handmade.

I design and sew handmade textile gifts, accessories and homewares. I'm also a Sewing Tutor and a freelance Textile Artist. I blog about my adventures in stitching, teaching, group-working and projects and there's a link below if you'd like to read more... for this profile I'll keep it short!

I love what I do. I sell my handmade work here on Folksy, some other websites, and in Gift Shops and Galleries throughout the UK. You'll also find me on:

Where do I source materials?
My fabric collection is stupidly huge and pieces reach me from a variety of sources - from new, named designers to the many quirky, up-cycled and antique fabrics I find on my travels....

What are my products like?
You might've already seen my items for sale here on Folksy and generally I like to mix and match Vintage and New. My products have an eclectic, unique feel and many are one-off pieces.

I love creating personalised things or items according to someone's specific wish - so if you have one, get in touch!

Where do I sew?
I have a studio and teaching space in the World Heritage Site of Saltaire, West Yorkshire

From there I also run Sewing Workshops and 1:1 lessons.

Postage methods and packaging
Postage is First Class unless otherwise requested.
For high-value, personalised items I use Special Delivery because of the number of hours work involved.

And finally - everything is packaged as if it's a gift!
