Meet the maker Deborah Tibbetts

I have been sewing ever since I was a child and learned on my mothers treddle machine.In the last few years I have turned my attention to reusing old knitwear and turning them into ladies and childrens bags. Being a typical gemini I feel the need to make different things according to the seasons or my mood. In the last few years I have collected a massive variety of antique and vintage fabrics, these include French handwoven linen, antique quilt pieces, eiderdown fabric,plus a fabulous array of trims lace buttons etc. These form the basis of my work which is diverse and includes,collage pictures, hunting,lavender bags,courage pins,sewing cases,pin cushions,angels, and much more
