Meet the maker Caroline
Hi there and thanks for dropping by.
My name’s Caroline, and I love to sew. I have sewn for as long as I remember. I set up an online shop after selling at a few local fairs, and I enjoyed it so much I joined Folksy.
A bit about my work
I love working with cotton printed fabrics, from a variety of designers. I love patchwork and quilting, but also love to incorporate vintage fabrics into my work. I welcome commissions – if you see a particular design but want it in another fabric, please just ask. All my finished makes are to my own designs - though I don't design the fabric or tapestries that I use, I'll back a beautiful tapestry with a more unusual choice of fabric, for example, or I'll put my own take on patterns I have adapted from vintage needlework books. For more details, do read the descriptions I write for each item in my shop.
I spend a lot of time on each piece, and they are all finished off by hand. I love to add unique touches, such as labels I have printed myself, or the inclusion of vintage buttons.
Payment and packaging
Everything is gift wrapped in tissue, and sent via Royal Mail. I aim to send within 2 days of receiving an order, unless it is a commissioned order. Folksy will only accept payments via paypal, and it’s a safe service to use.
Terms and conditions
I want all my customers to be happy. I aim to describe and picture my items as clearly as possible, but if for any reason you do not like what you buy you are welcome to return in perfect unused condition for a full refund of the item and its postage. Return postage to be paid by the buyer. If you wish to return, please do so within 7 days of buying.
Please enjoy browsing my Folksy shop, and do get in touch if you have any queries at all. I would love to hear from you. I am also on Facebook as The Sew Happy Shop. Do come and say hello!
