Meet the maker Angela Bardle
My passion is fabric, trims, buttons, patterns anything sewing! Be it machine embroidery or crosstitch. I have sewn since a little girl, my mother was always sewing, making my clothes from her 50's skirts and dresses ~ recycling at its best. I have dabbled in other crafty hobbies, felting, card making, scrapbooking, so you may see some of these creeping into my shop from time to time. However, sewing wins everytime. Feel free to browse, maybe there will be something that you like. Made to order items welcomed, please allow time for make up and despatch.
Now for your rights. Let me say that I will do all I reasonably can to make you a happy customer. The law thankfully gives us rights when we buy goods or services without face-to-face contact.
It covers:
online shopping, television shopping, eg from shopping channels, mail order shopping, eg from a catalogue, shopping by phone and fax
When we buy ‘without face-to-face contact’, the laws says that:
we must be given clear information about the goods or services before we buy, we must get written confirmation of this information after we've made our purchase, there is usually a ‘cooling-off period’ where we can cancel our order for any reason, we can get a refund if items aren’t delivered on the agreed delivery date, if no delivery date is given, we can get a refund if items aren’t delivered within 30 days of placing our order.
The goods must be:
as described, of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose
We usually have a ‘cooling off period’ of seven working days. It lets us cancel the order for any reason and get our money back. But, if we decide to cancel our order within the cooling off period, we must tell the trader in writing.
If we have already paid for the items or services, the trader must refund our money within 30 days of you cancelling the agreement.
The seven working day cooling-off period usually starts on the day after we receive the goods.
But the trader has to tell us in writing:
our right to a cooling off period, how to cancel our order, who is responsible for returning goods, who has to pay the cost of returning goods if we cancel in the cooling-off period, information about any after-sales service, the address to use for complaints
If we don’t get this information, our cooling-off period extends up to a maximum of three months and seven working days. For example if the trader takes one month to tell us in writing, you get a cooling-off period of one month and seven working days.
So,in short my policy is to give a full refund (not including return postage) if you simply change your mind, for whatever reason, and let me know of your intention in writing (via Folksy only) within 10 days of receiving the Goods. There is, however, a duty of care on the buyer to look after the Goods, and to ensure that they are properly packaged for return.
Items always leave my smoke and pet free home in pristine condition so, if they don't arrive in that state, it will be because something has happened in transit, and I'll need to investigate. I always obtain proof of posting.
The main thing is to have goodwill, good communications.,
