Hello, my name's Heather and I've been knitting for almost 50 years. I write my own patterns and knit everything in my shop by hand in my home by the seaside.

What can you expect if you buy from NiftyKnits?

Originality!
All my work is handknitted by myself, to my own original designs. I do not use commercial patterns, neither do I sell my own patterns, so you won't find my meerkats except in my online shops. I am always happy to knit custom orders, so if you have an idea for a new meerkat please get in touch.

Payments

Paypal please! You don't need to have a paypal account, just go through checkout and you will be guided through paying with a card.

Shipping

Please check that your paypal address is up to date and is the same as your folksy registered address. That way, I will know where to post. If I notice a discrepancy I will check with you, but it is really your responsibility to make sure your addresses match. I will post to your Folksy address.

I use first class post within the UK, and post by airmail overseas. If your purchase is ready-made I aim to post the next day, but often post on the same day as your order is received. If you have an urgent deadline please tell me.

Shipping to international destinations takes as long as it takes... please be patient, but let me know if you are ever worried that a parcel may have gone astray.

KNIT TO ORDER - at the moment it is taking at least a week from date of order to shipping. I always send photos after knitting a custom order so that you can confirm it's what you're wanting. Please let me know if you have a deadline.

I always obtain proof of posting and will insure your parcel (at your expense) if requested.

If you have paid for a custom order please read the listing or check with me to see how long it will take me to make and post. I can usually post out orders within a week, but sometimes I get swamped!

Refunds
I aim to please, always. If there is a problem with your purchase, please contact me as soon as possible and we will decide, together, what to do. Please do not send anything back to me until I have asked you to do so.

My refund policy is in line with the European Distance Selling Legislation: you are entitled to change your mind about a purchase and return it within 7 days, I will refund purchase price but not postage. If your parcel goes missing or is damaged, I will refund your entire costs or offer a replacement.

All my work comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home.

I welcome challenges, so it's always worth asking if you don't see quite what you desire.
