Meet the maker Alison DeBuc
My name is Ali and I live in Kent, UK, with my lovely husband and my two beautiful girls, age 5 and 9 months. I am a working mummy and I craft in the evenings when I get a few precious hours to get covered in clay and paint.
I love modelling clay characters, I've done it nearly all my life, since my mum bought me some Fimo (polyclay) to keep me amused on the long journey from Kent to Scotland to visit my grandparents. I made two little elephants and fell in love with playing with clay.
I follow no set rules or measurements for any of my creations so each one is different and totally individual. I hand make each and every one and lovingly paint every detail by hand, so you can be sure that when you buy a MudMeddling creation you are getting a totally unique piece of craft.
I hope you find something lovely to add to your home or to give as a gift.
If you would like to read more about my adventures in clay you can read my blog here:

Happy shopping!

SHOP POLICIES
Everything at MudMeddling is done by me - the design, the making, the painting, photography, packing, post-office visits, the lot! My creations do not come off of a production line or out of a mould so they are all totally different and are not utterly perfect (though I strive to come very close!) and this is what gives them their lovely handmade unique quality.
I spend a lot of time taking good quality photos that represent the items as fully as possible. But please do allow for the fact that colours in the photos may differ slightly from the item due to photography and light at times.
All of my creations are designed and handmade by me, they are my own original ideas so please be good and do not copy my work! I retain the copyright on my items even after sale. All transactions are subject to UK law.
PAYMENT
Please select "Paypal" to pay using your credit or debit card or your Paypal account. Please pay as soon as possible and no later than within 48 hours of checkout. For international orders paypal is very clever and will do the currency conversion for you automatically when you pay.
I am more than willing to hold items for you if you are waiting for payday!
If you have any problems or questions around payment please contact me as soon as possible, I won't be able to send anything out to you until payment has been received.
SHIPPING
I send my items First Class within the UK. For international shipping I use Airmail. My shipping price covers postage as well as packaging to keep your creation safe and sound on its journey. If you require insurance or a trackable/signed-for service this will cost a bit more so please contact me before payment and I will send a revised invoice.
I will ship your order within 4 working days of cleared payment if not sooner. I will send you an email you to let you know your parcel is on its way. If you need your item in a hurry please let me know and I'll do my best to help! I understand that sometimes you need that last minute gift..even if it's for yourself!
International Airmail can take up to 7 working days to arrive, but can take up to 4 weeks due to delays at customs (yawn) etc. If you are worried about your parcel please get in touch as soon as possible! Buyers are responsible for any customs charges.
REFUNDS
I hope that you are really happy with your item from MudMeddling but if for any reason you are not then please contact me as soon as possible, most things can be resolved really easily and I am really friendly and flexible to deal with!
If an item needs to be returned that it must be returned within 14 days of receipt, you must contact me before returning any items and obtain proof of posting.
My items are delicate and I send them out extremely well packaged to prevent damage, but sometimes you can't account for an over-zealous postman and breakages just might happen. If your item is damaged please contact me first then return it to me within the above stated time and I will issue a full refund.
FEEDBACK
Feedback is really important. If you have received your item please leave me feedback to let me know! It great to know that an item has arrived safely and that it is being enjoyed!
I only sell things that I am sure are beautifully and lovingly made and well represented photographically and in the item description so you know exactly what you are buying. But if you do have any problems or complaints please do CONTACT ME, I am very flexible and will work with you to sort any problems that may arise. Negative feedback can always be avoided through communication.
SAFETY
My items are fun and childlike but they are most definitely NOT toys and are not designed for children. They are made from clay and can be very delicate, plus they may have small parts which could come off if misused. They are made as fun decorative items so please do use them as such :)
