Meet the maker Samantha Curnow

Hello my name is Sam and I'm a Yarn Addict.. no really there should be a group for us YAA or something.

Okay so you came here to find out a little bit about me, so I should stop making jokes and tell you what you want to know. I'm 32 and now ignoring birthdays, I live in the countryside between Leeds and Selby in the UK, it's lovely after spending 8 years in the heart of Sheffield City center i needed to see green.

I have 2 cats Molly & Trinity and a a rabbit called DaBunnie, I first began to knit when I was a kid, my mum and nan taught me and bought me the Jean G knitted toy patterns to follow (i got really good at jelly babies). Then I found out about boys and it all stopped lol, I took knitting up again to give my hands something to do while trying to give up smoking, it worked for a few months.. then well I admit it i fell off the wagon, but im still knitting and smoking less than i used to (mainly cos i smoke outside).

I knit soft toys and accessories, mainly cos blocking is still a mystery to me, but also I have the attention span of a peanut so I like to keep my projects small, my friends were the people to convince me to sell my softies, along with the fact my house is small and i was running out of room for them. I figured i would do it from my own domain with a little shop but after a few months realized i would never make a sale until i hit the search engines (and that would happen when hell freezed over) then i stumbled upon etsy.com.. quite by chance I don't even know how i found that place, so im sticking to fate for that explaination. Since then I have found this place a wonderful world for uk sellers, so were giving it a go.

I've now got a little etsy shop sorted out and I've made a couple of sales but I've found the joy of trading aswell, my bears are living happily in america and currently travelling to canada and hong kong.
