Meet the maker Julia Martin

Welcome to Jules Handmade my name is Julia and I live in Winchester in Hampshire with my husband and two teenage sons.

I have been knitting since a young girl for both relaxation and the love of creating. I love the feel and texture of yarns and my work will include items made from fashion yarns through to the more luxurious yarns like cashmere, alpaca and silk. I try to use British wool were ever I can a particular favourite being blue-faced leicester a beautiful yarn that knits up well both with lace weight through to aran.
