Meet the maker Irene Purcell

I am fairly new to jewellery making and I'm loving it and looking forward to learning new techniques. It all started when a favourite necklace snapped and I went into a bead shop to buy wire for restringing it. I didn't want to leave! I went back the next day and spent far too much, excusing myself as I decided it was for a present. I have become a regular visitor to that shop and also a lot of materials from online shops.

Time has passed since I wrote the paragraph above and I have learned a lot since then including some silversmithing techniques. I now tend to concentrate on working with silver - my favourite material. I am learning as I go along.
