Meet the maker Debbie Mitchener

I have always worked with fabric as my job has been in costume for film, telly and theatre but I was eternally frustrated by being surrounded by beautiful things and yet not directly creating them myself.
My mother inspired me to pick up a needle and thread when I was six and sat me infront of her machine when I was eight so it is thanks to her that I have the confidence to now put my heart into this and create.
I have always loved fabric and am fascinated by the bold and bright designs of the 50's/60's and 70's often buying vintage fabric 'to do something with it later' - well now is later and I just hope that you like what I produce.
