Meet the maker Wendy Derrick

I love the way you can take materials from the physical world and use your imagination to turn them into something amazing, exciting or even just useful or fun. As a child I could always be found tinkering away, trying to make something out of things that I’d found. I like to call this the ‘Womble’ instinct. Eventually this led me to complete a BA Hons in Fine Art where I found I was able to mess, explore, analyse and create. Now I have started my own business called Happywrap, making and selling my own unique design of fabric gift wrap. I am inspired by the idea that over the years, every Happywrap will have wrapped numerous gifts and visited many people, always spreading a smile on its way.

Happywrap Ethics
Happywrap aims to reduce our impact on the environment. I use recycled or recyclable packaging and aim to buy as much of my supplies as I can from either UK or EU manufacturers, reducing transportation and supporting fair labour laws. For example, the embroidered labels come from Pembrokshire, the ribbons and thread are made in the EU. Although my current fabrics come from further afield, I am committed to finding suitable fabrics in the UK and am currently researching manufacturers.
 
Payment
You can pay by debit card, credit card or PayPal account. You do not have to register with PayPal to pay, just select ‘Continue’ next to where it says ‘Don’t have a PayPal account?’ at the bottom of the screen. All prices are in pound sterling (£). Happywrap does not store or view any card or bank details entered by the customer. All payments, whether by debit card, credit card or PayPal account, are processed by PayPal’s secure online payment facility.
 
Delivery

I aim to send out orders the next working day when possible. If your order is urgent please contact me to let me know.
UK orders are normally sent by 2nd class post or standard parcel and should arrive from around 3 to 5 days after posting.
European and international orders will be sent by Airmail and should arrive within 10 days after posting, however can take around 3 weeks if held up in customs.
 
Returns
I hope that you love your Happywrap and that it reaches you in tip top condition. However, should you feel unhappy with your purchase please contact me within 14 days of receipt so that a return can be arranged. Return postage is the responsibility of the buyer, please obtain proof of posting.
 
Cancellations
Orders can be cancelled before they are despatched.
 
Data Protection
The information you provide is used to process and despatch your order. Once your order is complete, no personal information will be stored and will definitely not be passed on to anyone else.
