Meet the maker Gemma Donegan

Hi, I’m Gemma from ‘little glass robin’. I have over 15 years of experience working with glass along with a glass degree. I work independently to run my business on Folksy covering everything from glass cutting and fusing to accounting, postage, packaging and updating my shop. I love what I do!

I'm based in Eastleigh, Hampshire in the UK although originally from Huddersfield in West Yorkshire. I design handmade glass items such as Christmas decorations, homeware, jewellery and fused glass art.

I've always been fascinated with the idea of creating. From an early age all I wanted to do was make.

I began working with glass in 2003 as I studied at the University of Wolverhampton. I actually specialised in glass blowing, I was only after my studies that I gravitated towards fused glass.

Later I decided to take a short course in glass fusing and painting. It was here where I begin working with glass enamels. In turn this has lead me onto finding my own style and creating beautiful landscape paintings. I love the freedom of working with this medium. It gives me the ability to add finer details to my work.

I’m happy to create custom pieces. If you see something you like but you would prefer a different colour or style just get in touch and we can discuss custom making something just for you. I’ll always do my very best to try and accommodate.
