Meet the maker Sam Cluett

Hello, I'm Sam! I love North Wales, cake, proper coffee and making things..... lots of different things. Here on Folksy, you'll find my jewellery - please check out my Facebook page to see what else I get up to :)

I have always been creative, and used to play about making jewellery with bits of metal and copper wire as a child - my Dad used to help me out with stuff, and I still have a little makeshift rivet set that he made for me.
Later on, I completed my A-levels in Art & Craft and Art History, and although I was aiming to study at university for a degree in ceramics and silver smithing, it wasn't meant to be. I had an opportunity to work and study on an apprenticeship in sheet metal work (engineering fabrication and welding), and learned a lot about how to form and join metal, as well as the different properties of metal. I also went on to study for a degree in Design and Technology at Bangor University.
Having adapted my skills to suit the finer nature of jewellery making, I now take great pride in taking sterling silver, copper, brass, and an assortment of reclaimed and carefully selected beads or gems, to create a range of individually made unique designs.
Pretty much everything is hand formed (with the exception of some chains and lobster clasps), made from sterling silver unless otherwise stated and all links are soldered or securely wire wound. All Items are boxed, and Items above the 7.78gm maximum weight (silver) will be hallmarked.
I aim to ship within 4 days..... I hope you love what you see, as much as I love making it.
