Meet the maker Janet Harvey

The Vintage Quilt is a small family business run by Janet and her Mum Brenda. We loved working with fabric so much that we turned a hobby into a business and we work from home in the heart of the Eden Valley in Cumbria.

We love creating patchwork packs, mixing and matching fabrics that work well together and we have also lauched our range of Craft Packs. These have a variety of contents which can be used in all sorts of fabric projects from card craft to patchwork. We also love creating and expanding our range of 'Sew It Yourself' craft kits which give you all the ingredients to make your own little gorgeous goodies!

Our fabric range includes a variety of designers such as Tanya Whelan, Stof, Quilt Gate, Henry Glass and Robyn Pandolph. Our rotary cut patchwork squares and fabric craft packs also include Cath Kidston, Laura Ashley and Liberty fabrics and they are perfect for card craft as well as traditional sewing projects. We stock light weight cotton poplins, quilting fabrics, woven ginghams, cotton twills, medium weight cotton duck fabrics and more.

When we aren’t stocking our Folksy store full of goodies, we also hand make little gifts that are perfect for stocking fillers or end of year teachers presents. These can be found on sale in our shop, our oilcloth tissue cases have sold worldwide!

We do encourage custom orders, if we can make a gift or put together a craft pack for you then we will, so do contact us with any enquiries.
