Meet the maker Emma Jane Barnsley
I enjoy making accessories that are unusual, vibrant and bold. I work impulsively with my materials and I enjoy the various textures that jewellery making has to offer. I manipulate wire by twisting it, sewing and wrapping it into an ideal shape or form, adding touches of colour and sparkle by threading beads and gemstones into each piece.
I graduated with a degree in Fine Art's, and painting is my forte. However I have become more and more interested in the tactile qualities of jewellery making. This has since become my new hobby. Within both artistic fields I am inspired the natural world, largely the intricate and lineal lines and patterns caused by natural processes and occurrences.
I am constantly experimenting and developing my techniques in order to keep my work original and, ultimately, to ensure that each piece of jewellery I create is unique.
All items will be shipped 1st class!
I am also happy to take on any commisions.
Thanks for stopping by!
