Meet the maker Emma Ledder

It was whilst studying for a degree in textile design that my love affair with anything stitched really began.

Since leaving i have had a beautiful baby boy and now work from home as the creator of Ghost Flower; a range of luxury interior accessories, fashion accessories, and wall art.

Materials used are primarily natural materials; cottons, silks and jute, many of which have been hand dyed by myself. Aside from sequins and a few seed beads all appliqued 'bits' are either handmade (buttons), swarovski crystals, semi precious stones and freshwater pearls.

I love being experimental with materials particularly old vintage fabric, remnants and anything recycled (fabric, cartons, plastic) as well as natural fibres such as biodegradable jute which is the main material used in the planters.

Photography is a major factor in my design process. It is the basis for all my designs....It's where the story begins......

Every piece of textile art i create started from a photograph usually with a specific theme in mind. Along the way the original photograph gets manipulated, copied, layered, cut out, layered again, changed, and so on.

The mixed media art used as the basis for the finished designs are available to buy from Ghost Flower as one off pieces. Handmade buttons are also available to buy separately.

All prints (and miniature prints on cards) are printed on professional satin heavy weight paper. A matte finish can be arranged upon request. The larger prints are signed on the reverse. Miniature wall art cards are signed beneath the mount.

Items are shipped in secure packaging by first class post. Returns/refunds are accepted providing the item(s) are sent back with a note explaining the reason(s) for return.
