Meet the maker Sharon Greaves

Hello, welcome to my shop of original whimsical designs...
“Daisylions” came about because my daughter Laura, when very small, could not pronounce dandelions and daisies so “Daisylions” stuck in our family vocabulary.
I have been an avid embroiderer and crafter for many years. My love of quality threads and fabrics recycled, upcycled, old, new and vintage are taking over the house.
I live in a small cottage in a Staffordshire village, my surroundings and local wildlife help to inspire my many whimsical and quirky ideas. I visit the local antique fairs to rummage through braids, buttons and beads, which often spark new designs.
My latest obsessions are old maps and applique apples, this was the inspiration for the Mapple designs. British eccentricity is at the heart of my work, I like the idea of chickens putting out the bunting and owls sat in trees with map leaves.
My designs are all original, I like to work on calico using appliqued fabric with free machine embroidery, I see this as an extension of my sketch books which are stuffed with ideas that are then translated onto fabrics, the needle is like a pen picking out certain details mixed in with hand embroidery and bead embellishments. Hand embroidery is time consuming so prices reflect the time I spend on each piece.
Any original design that you see-which is sold-I can reproduce but please bare in mind that fabrics may be slightly different from design to design but each definitely unique!

Your purchase will be carefully packaged, I will post purchased items out first class usually within 3 working days once funds have cleared in the Paypal account.

Returns:

I hope that you will love your purchase, but if for any reason you are unhappy with it please can you return it, including original P&P, within 7 days of receipt. All items must be unused and in a saleable condition .Refund via Paypal once I have received the goods. Return postage is the buyers responsibility.
