Meet the maker Debs Turner

I hope you'll find some markers in my shop that you'll be proud to show on your WIP (work in progress)!

I'm a magpie. I love anything shiny or bright and if it jingles too......... well that's just perfect! I also stash yarn attracted by sumptuous glorious colours and sometimes I even knit with it.

I also love tea. Lots of hot cups of tea whilst formulating a design or perusing a knitting pattern are an essential part of daily life.

My other passion is beads (bright, colourful ones obviously) so stitch markers were a natural progression as I like to knit lace shawls.
I hadn't used a marker until I taught myself lace and then I realised I needed some and how invaluable they are. I experimented and came up with a non-snag design and decided they should be as pretty as your knits as you see them every row!

My markers have been featured in Yarnwise, Simply crochet, Lets Get Crafting and The Knitter.

I like to dabble with textile art as I get to use yarn, beads and embroidery silks but I'm not very good at it which is why you'll never see any for sale in my shop, unless it turned out really good!

I live in a small town just north of Bristol with my long suffering yarn winder David, our 13 rescued cats (the crafty cats), 2 dogs and 6 chickens and the odd hedeghog or 2 as I also do hedgehog rescue and rehabilitation as I love animals.

I like the smell of rain when it's been sunny for days, watching the cats do yoga as they wash themselves and eating vanilla ice cream with cherry sauce!

I dislike seeing plastic bags flapping in trees, ironing and not getting enough sleep.

I do have a blog if you want to see what else I've been up to at....
